please pray

I just found out a few hours ago that my cousin passed away on Sunday. He was only 22 years old. While he died while driving, crashing into a sound wall on the freeway, the actual cause of the crash is still uncertain. He and his family lived in Alhambra, Ca. Please pray for our family during this time.

Family in Town

This past week, my mom and little brother Derek came to Taiwan to visit me. We stayed in Taipei for a few days and then they stayed in Taichung with me for the rest of the trip. We had a great time and walked a lot.

In Taipei, we visited Taipei 101, Shilin Night Market, a large flower market, and The National Palace Museum. It rained the for most of our time in Taipei, but we made the most of it.

In Taichung, we went to the Taichung Science Museum and ate dinner with a few friends from Banner Church.

This past weekend, I went to a Singles camp for the church. I had a really good time meeting new people, because sometimes at church it is hard to meet and really get to hang out with people for an extended period of time. I'm thankful I was able to go, not to mention that the hotel was probably the nicest I've ever been to; you have your very own jacuzzi/spa in your bathroom!

the Gospel of Judas?

Check out these articles about the Gospel of Judas and the Da Vinci Code. They're don't explain it all, but they cover the bases pretty well and a good starting point.

final destination-ish

So I was making my usual tuna for the week and was putting a new trash bag for the aluminum cans in our little storage closet on the side of our kitchen, when a gust of air from who knows where, came and blew the door behind me shut and at the same time latched the door so I could not get out. I was home alone and no one would be home for a few hours. So I tried to see if it was really shut and latched, because sometimes the door just gets stuck. I pressed against the door with my right hand and pressed against the glass unknowingly with my left hand when "crash!" I broke through the glass with my left hand shattering it and getting bloodied up in the meantime. My left arm thankfully only suffered minor cuts. I forgot to take pictures of the door, because I just had the glass replaced today. It was a pretty freaky experience. All that to say that it was very final destination-ish. Thankfully Jesus "intervened" and it skipped me. haha. good times.

some songs

With Good Friday a few days away, here are a couple of songs/poems I wrote a while ago about remembering the cross and Jesus. They're still rough cuts, but here they are anyway.

Remind Us

Shame and sickness laid in your hands
You embodied the perfect man
Into the darkness you came and gave light
Your glory revealed even in the darkest night

[refrain]
Jesus, remind us of the cross
Jesus, remind us we were bought
No man can boast of what he has done
Compared to the majesty of the son

Yours is the treasure the world's search
All we have for a touch of your robe
Like a father after his son
You open your arms until we are one

The last shall be first, the first shall be last
Wipe away the wrongs of our past
The poor in spirit you shall receive
Come Holy spirit, come set us free

Once and for all

[refrain]
The time is coming
The time is now
When all men will return
The king is coming
The king is here
Come and make us known
(once and for all)

Once and for all you came on the altar
The perfect lamb to make us clean
You did not enter by the blood any other
But laid your life to set us free

Once and for all death shall be no longer
Salvation is here we don’t deserve
You’ve always sought every woman, child and brother
How much more are we to serve?

my acting debut

I was recently in a little promo spot for a singles camp for the church. I consider it a comedy (well mostly because of my acting and seeing me in a video), but it's based on a movie/book called "Turn Left, Turn Right". I had pretty long hair (I just cut my hair last week). fun stuff, it's ok to laugh.
Video
BTW, it's in Chinese, sorry.
